Lenay + Mark's Trendy Mountain Wedding at the Surf Hotel in Buena Vista
Where do I begin with this one? It holds a special place in my heart for a lot of reasons, one of which being that it was one of the most stunning parties I’ve seen.

In February of 2019, my fiancé, Brendan, and I decided to spend a month in Denver, CO, since we had a hunch it may be our next stop in life. Once we were there, we instantly fell in love with the town and all of its surrounding beauty. To get the ball rolling, I decided to take a swing at finding some clients in Colorado, and through a little internet magic, Lenay found me just as her June wedding to Mark was approaching. We got on a call and she described her vision — art, whimsy, personality — I was sold.
In the intervening months, Brendan and I began searching for a house to buy in Denver (along with the move, we were hoping to buy our first home). Just as Lenay and Mark’s wedding weekend approached, an adorable, century-old Queen Anne came up for sale in our dream neighborhood — the Highlands. Our realtor told us the house would go quickly — it already had an offer — and that we could put in an offer by the deadline and, since we were planning to be in town for this Buena Vista wedding, confirm that we liked it that weekend before anything was set in stone.
We made moves. Our offer was accepted the night before we flew to Colorado. A stressful 24 hours later, we arrived and walked through the house. I was in disbelief. It was just as beautiful as we had hoped.
That weekend we drove to Buena Vista for Lenay and Mark’s wedding. The venue was stunning, the ceremony and speeches were so thoughtful, they were on cloud nine, and so was I.
